Studio

Dance Creations first opened in 2003 under the direction of Jennifer Hansen with a small following of about 30 beginner dancers.  In 2008 Jennifer broke temporarily from the studio and moved to earn her dance teaching designation- Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with London England's, Royal Academy of Dance,. After two years of study and mentoring, she successfully passed two separate practical teaching tests and earned her Registered Teacher Status and became fully certified.

Jennifer returned to Slave Lake in 2010 as the only certified dance instructor in the region and continued to build the studio.  Jodi van den Heuvel then joined the studio as an instructor helping to instill passion of dance to students.

Today, the studio has aproximately 150 students ranging in age from 2.5-19, dancing a variety of genres. Dancers have the option to test their skills through ballet and acro exams, and all students have the opportunity to perform locally, and some continue to perform regionally, and even internationally.
