Dress Code
Attending class well groomed, set the standard for a productive class!

Girl’s Ballet
Shoes- Bloche or Capezio brand, pink leather ballet shoe with elastics. (Intermediate + levels will have canvas shoes
Attire- Bodysuit (any colour), ballet pink tights (Mondor brand in 'ballerina pink'). Optional skirt.
Hair- slicked back ballet bun, or hair band for short hair. Watch a cute tutorial on ballet buns.
R.A.D. Exam specifications at end.
Jazz
Shoes- Beige "Elasta-bootie” Bloche brand (non-lacing azz shoe)
Attire- Black bodysuit, beige tights (Mondor *convertible tights in light tan) Optional dance shorts, leggings, or yoga style pants.
Hair- slicked back ponytail, or hair band for short hair.
Tap
Shoes- Beginner Tap, Tap-6/7: Black ribbon tie-up tap shoe. Novice & Junior: Beige Bloche style #S032 (buckle strap)
Attire- Black bodysuit, beige tights (Mondor *convertible tights in light tan) Optional dance shorts, leggings, or yoga style pants.
Hair- slicked back ponytail, or hair band for short hair.
Hip Hop
Shoes- Clean, non-marking runners for class. A specific brand for the dance routine may be specified in November.
Attire- Baggy sweatpants, or leggings, but NO tight jeans. Any style top is acceptable.
Hair- slicked back ponytail, or hair band for short hair. NO loose hair.
Acrobatics
Shoes- none (bare feet.
Attire- Black bodysuit, beige tights (Mondor *capri tights in light tan) Optional dance shorts, or leggings. Crop top is also acceptable.
Hair- slickedback ballet bun, or braids.
No baggy clothing or loose hair will be accepted- it is a hazard to the activity.
Lyrical/Contemporary
Shoes- Junior levels= Jazz shoes. Intermediate levels only have Half Soles
Attire- Black bodysuit, beige tights (Mondor *capri tights in light tan) Optional dance shorts, leggings, or yoga style pants. Crop tops with loose layer shirt will be acceptable.
Hair- slicked back ponytail, or hair band for short hair. NO loose hair in class!
*Tights: CONVERTIBLE- have a hole in the bottom of the foot to allow conversion into bare feet. CAPRI- have no foot coverage.
NOTE: tights must ALWAYS be worn when wearing body suits and shorts. Tights must always be worn with pointe shoes. Wearing tights with your dance shoes will actually lengthen the life of your dance shoes compared to having bare feet in the shoes.
R.A.D Exam Students
Primary
· Pink sleeveless tank style leotard (Mondor style #1645 OR #40096)
· Full footed tights- Mondor brand “E6-ballerina pink" colour
· Leather ballet shoes with elastic (Capezio or Bloche brand)
· Character shoes must be purchased. Black canvas in “low” heel size.
· Character skirt & required props will be rented from studio.
R.A.D Grade 1 & 2
· Navy sleeveless tank style leotard (Mondor style #1645 OR #40096)
· Full footed tights- Mondor brand “E6-ballerina pink" colour
· Leather ballet shoes with elastic (Capezio or Bloche brand)
· Character shoes must be purchased. Black canvas in “low” heel size.
· Character skirt & required props will be rented from studio.
R.A.D Grade 3
· Mondor sleeveless leotard w/ coordinated belt. (style #1633) in "mulberry "colour)
· Convertible tights- Mondor brand “E6-ballerina pink" colour
· Leather ballet shoes with elastic (Capezio or Bloche brand)
· Character shoes must be purchased. Black canvas in higher 3/4 inch "cuban" heel size.
· Character skirt & required props will be rented from studio.
· Pre-Pointe (upon approval by Miss Jen prior (RAD Grade 4+)
R.A.D Grade 4& 5
· Mondor sleeveless leotard w/ coordinated belt. (style #3546) in "Paradise" colour)
· Convertible tights- Mondor brand “E6-ballerina pink" colour
· Leather ballet shoes with elastic (Capezio or Bloche brand)
· Character shoes may need to be purchased. Black canvas in higher 3/4 inch "cuban" heel size.
· Character skirt & required props will be rented from studio.
· Pre-Pointe (upon approval by Miss Jen prior (RAD Grade 4+)
R.A.D. Intermediate Foundation
· Mondor camisole leotard (style #13520) in "Royal" colour.
· Convertible tights- Mondor brand “E6-ballerina pink" colour
· Canvas ballet shoes (Intermediate Foundation).
· Soft Pointe Shoes with matching ribbon. (Intermediate)
· Pointe shoes with matching ribbon (must be approved by Miss Jen prior)
